Great argument.

I find it funny you even feel you have to make this argument, but I guess we are where we are.

I’m a dude (a scholar and a gentleman with roguish edges) who mainly reads fiction too. And I hang around a local bookstore so I know a few others too. I sometimes run into people that don’t read fiction (that sort of seems like a guy thing) and I find them curious. I should ask some follow up to see if they are regular TV/streaming watchers. I have a feeling if there wasn’t so much electronic narrative choices, that they would read “Analog” or “Galaxy” magazine every month and have a pile of SF paperbacks on a shelf. It’s just that our culture is so full of options now, reading fiction becomes a least flashy, more difficult, and more time consuming option than watching whatever the hot thing is on Netflix this weekend. Sorry to go on. I just need to get stuff out’ve me head sometimes.
